| Area | 20 km wide volcanic crater with 600m walls |
| Principal Features | Spectacular views on the crater rim. Been compared to Noah's ark or the Garden of Eden. Soda Lake Magada on the floor of the crater. Favourite spot for wildlife as there is permanent water and grassland on the crater floor. Despite the steep walls there is still a lot of migration. Merely to Serengeti these days. Local Maasai tribespeople have grazing rights. |
