Description of the garden:
The
garden (
size : 2200
m² )was created by the owners themselves and was laid out step by step :
an ornamental kitchen garden, a herb garden and a rose garden, each of them
fenced in by box hedges in different patterns, two small ponds, herbaceous
borders with a rich variety of plants, cosy seats and shelters next to antique
ornaments, a front garden with a diamond-shaped centre-piece... Various climbers
(rambling rose, clematis, hydrangea) cling to the walls and other supports. A
dovecote and a fairy-like garden shed are half-hidden away in the back-garden.
Some areas are enclosed by yew or beech hedges, and all around the garden
there’s a sturdy wall of privet.
The
outdoor pottery and flower boxes on the window sills are arranged in
ever-changing and eye-catching combinations depending on the season.
