- He must obey his handler so that he can be directed towards a precise location when he has not seen thegame fall, and then work on his own initiative, using his nose and the wind to retrieve it.

He must be able to work in sight using his "marking", and out
of sight.

He must be able to sit for a long time near his handler and work as soon
as he gets the retrieving command.
To
obtain this results, I breed my Golden Retrievers with love and care,
using working stallions of British origin and Belgian bitches that proved
their qualities during shootings. My dogs follow the standard of the race, though I personally prefer bright and intelligent eyes to a correct back line ...
