Château de Peyrepertuse

The Château de Peyrepertuse, situated on a peak in the Corbières, dates from the middle ages and is one of the "cinq fils de Carcassonne". Unfortunately, perhaps due in part to its Michelin three star, "vaut le voyage", rating, and also that you can park within a slob's waddle of the entrance, it was a little too crowded to get carried away with any knights of yore stuff.

While having our picnic afterwards we were fortunate enough to get talking with some tourists from Normandy who kindly offered us some donkey meat. I can still taste it now.
