I started to listen to
shortwave radio (SWL) when I was 14 years
old (1977) started with a old Realistic
DX-100L (picture and detailed info
about the DX100L) analog allmode receiver,
and it still works today hi (now using a
Yaesu FRG-100). I did my HAM radio
operator(Privaat
radiotelefonist/telegrafist) exam in Brussels
and so receiving my official license in
1995 (ON1DHT). Still enjoying
experimenting with antenna's,
homebrewing, satellite communications,
DX'ing, digital communications, VHF DX,
SSTV and FAX on air with different types
of software, packet (300baud, 1k2, 9k6),
PSK31, Hell, Pactor, RTTY, building home
made receivers/transceivers, antennas
etc, low power communication experiments
(QRP), and many things more... In 2001 I got
my A-class license ON6MU call.
My lovely XYL, Machteld, got her official
foundation radioamateur license in 2004
as ON2DHT (ON3DHT).
