JUNE 2001 This is a rather small island with a quiet atmosphere. Livadi has a good amount of tourism facilities The promenade along the beach in Livadi is not asphalted. This is a pity because there are most of the restaurants. The situation of the chora is spectacular. |

We stayed at
hotel Naias. A very good room (new furniture, very clean and not far from
the port). We paid 10000 GDR without breakfast. |

General |
Generally speaking, we can tell you that the food in nearly all the restaurants we visited was very tasteful. The dishes with 'patates tiganites' (chips) were home-made without exception. The local wine is mostly of very good quality. Unfortunately, there was no Greek music in many of these restaurants. |

Ouzeri Meltemi ( Livadi) |
Ouzeri Meltemi (a small place next to the first Italian restaurant) – good cooking and lovely greek music. |
|
Estiatorio Marditsa (Mega Livadi) |
Estiatorio Marditsa ( the second one). An older couple which are very attentive. We had an enjoying meal with revithia, kalamari, choriatiki and again with tasteful local wine. |

Antonis taverna (Psili Ammos)
|
A place for a relax. We walked to this place starting from Livadi in about half an hour. They offer more common but well prepared dishes. It was a bit unlucky that the trees in front were too tall to enjoy the panoramic view of the bay. The pop-music was rather loud and a little disturbing when you are not a fan of this kind of music. |
