My hatchery
At the moment my hatchery contains +/- 4000 liters of water.
In the upper level are the 5 breeding tanks.
The dimensions of these tanks are 50X50X55cm.
The breeding pairs are kept in rain-water which has a ph of 5,5
a 6 and a temperature of 28°C , and the conductivity is 200
microsiemens.
Next to it are the swimming-out tanks for the adults fishes.
The dimensions of the tank are 210X50X65cm.
In the lower level are the 4 tanks for the fry, which has a ph
of 6,8 a 7,3 and a temperature of 28°C.
The dimensions of these tanks are 200X50X60cm.
And last are a quarantine tank for treat new of sick fiches.
Every tank has its own filter.
This is to prevent the outbreak of dicaeses.
And are kept with lava-stones and filter wool.
For the water changing i have plastic bins in which the water is
being treated.
Every day the water is changed about 10%.
