François THIRY

François THIRY was born in Liège in 1956. He studied simultaneously law at the University and music at the "Conservatoire Royal de Liège".
After getting his degree, he won a scholarship in the Tchaikowsky Conservatory of Moscow.

François THIRY is nominated Professor at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège since 1985. He is founder member and secretary of the EPTA Belgium Wallonie-Bruxelles.

He is Director of the Conservatoire royal de Liège since 2007

François THIRY performs as soloist or with orchestra for large Belgian concert organisations such as the Philarmonic Society, for the radio and the television. He also plays in other European countries, in the USA, in Japan and in Africa.
