Our Hebridean Sheep

Picture taken from the Hebridean Sheep Society.

Justine has a small flock of sheep to train her dogs. They belong to the rare breed of Hebridean sheep. Sheep of this breed are small, light and fast. They are black and some of them have four horns. The Hebridean breed originally comes from the western isles and highlands of Scotland. They were brought there more than a thousand years ago by Viking immigrants. Although there was a large decrease in their population during the 19th and 20th century, there has been a revival recently. More information about this breed can be found at the website of the Hebridean Sheep Society. More pictures of our Hebridean sheep (together with some traditional sheep) are given below. We often have young stock for sale.

Currently, there are two young rams for sale, born in March 2008.
