I live in Ghent, a city in the province of Eastern Flanders. A very nice city by the way that surely's worth a visit.
But okay, how did it al start?
I made my first bear in 1994. It was a very large teddy that I made to decorate the room of my first child.
It was sewed with a sewing machine and had no joints.
After that, in 1996, a colleague showed me a bear that she had made and I became very fascinated. Shortly after, I bought my first kit and made my very first handmade bear, namely Olivia.
Not much later Bert followed, he was the second one.
After several years making bears my husband found a site on the web in the far country of Canada. That's where I bought the pattern of Cooter. This was the first bear who had clothes. Cooter was the reason I dressed my other bears.
As a gift my husband bought me some more patterns and that are the bears I am working on at the moment.
