Course cost €230

Advanced Open Water Diver - Looking for the ultimate adventure? You've found it! Our advanced program fine tunes your dive skills and allows you to explore 5 of diving's top adventures. This course offers you a structured program where you gain additional experience and skills under the direct guidance of the trainer. The PADI AOWD manual and the Video will help you to prepare yourself at home. They cover all kinds of different experiences but you have to focus only on 5. Take your time to study in depth because it will make you better. During your study you can still think about which types of dives should be included in your AOWD. There is no exam but an intensive theory lesson for each type of dive. It can be on the day of the dive but it shouldn’t be more than 3 days before.

During the course you will make 5 different dives, 2 of them obligatory. In the first of these obligatory dives, the deep dive, you will go deeper then you've ever been. In the second one, underwater navigation, you will learn how to use a compass and about underwater orientation, so you'll never get lost again underwater. Diving at night, diving on wrecks...you will find several options for the remaining 3 dives of your AOWD programme and you can read about these special dives further below in the Specialty descriptions. The Specialty courses always comprise several dives of the same type but for the AOWD you’ll need only one. If you want to deepen your experience you can of course extend the programme through Specialties. For your underwater experiences you can chose among our favourite dive locations. We prefer to do 2 or 3 dives or one longer dive if we drive long distances. Under cold conditions we prefer shorter dives and also shorter driving distances. Feel free to decide which types of dives you need or want. We don’t mind if your course takes a long time because you are busy with other things. Some people do it in 2 days but others need months to complete. No problem, most important is to enjoy. Swimming pool review training is normally not included but we can arrange if you want. What does this program offer you? New experiences, new skills, lots of diving and thrilling adventures! So take your diving to new limits! Junior AOWD is the advanced course for kids aged 12 -14 years (There are the same components but a depth limit of 21 m.)

Peak Performance Buoyancy Speciality course - Become a better diver! This course will enable you to perfect your buoyancy control, improve your confidence in the water, determine the minimum of weights needed, enjoy weightlessness, reduce your air consumption and help protect the environment! Before the course you prepare yourself at home through watching the PADI PPB DVD. Underwater we do many different exercises where you will train to change your buoyancy with your equipment and with your lungs. Going through these skills your buoyancy control improves and diving becomes second nature as you relax and feel easy or soft flying through the water. These feelings and fewer weights on your belt result in best enjoyment and fun.

Course duration: 1 day comprising of 2 dives

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water diver or equivalent

Course cost €160

Underwater Navigator - For those who have enough with following the guide and who like to know where they’re going under water, this course is the way to go. During this program participants learn the ins and outs of underwater navigation. There are 4 major navigation principles: compass navigation, distance estimation, depth control and natural navigation. The first 3 principles are easy to understand but difficult to perform properly. Natural navigation brings another exploring element in your dive because you will observe the natural specifics a location: different objects, formations and especially at the Dutch coast the variety of aquatic species. Applying the 4 principles will help to navigate but most important is of course to develop the ability of finding safer shallow waters and the shore from any place underwater. Especially beginners often loose their orientation due to the strong impressions and adventures underwater. Often they believe having done a square pattern but it was only a triangle. So, you will train to follow specific patterns underwater, to hold your compass properly, to control orientation, distances, hazards underwater etc. All compass exercises will be trained first on land before we dive underwater. Intensive navigation training will also enable you to sketch underwater maps.

Course duration: 1,5 days comprising of 3 dives

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water diver or equivalent

Course cost €180

Deep Diver - Learn how to dive deeper safely and get the special feeling of deep diving. The depth of 18-40m increases your limits and opens up a whole new world with particular impressions and surroundings. There is a fascinating and enormous change of colours and sounds in deep water. Within a few minutes you enter in a world that is most exciting, thrilling and extremely different from everyday life. Many divers appreciate these changes and like to escape from the well know live on land. Some are addicted to deep diving others are scared especially when they haven’t been introduced professionally. Before the course you prepare yourself at home through watching the PADI Deep Diver DVD. Techniques and procedures for safe deep diving will be further explained prior to and carried out during your deep dives. Go for this certification, seek the educational challenge and experience these special deep dive feelings. This course belongs to the most difficult ones but it’s also a very intensive and extreme experience.

Night Diver - Ever wondered what it’s like to dive at night and what makes it different from day diving? If you want the special adventure to explore more intensively the underwater world at night in the spotlight of your torch then the Night Diver Specialty is the course for you. You’ll get very strong impressions because the torch will focus your attention on a small enlightened area of the dark surrounding. In addition, more species and different behaviours can be observed at night. The magic and spectacular firework of bioluminescence initiated through chemical reactions in plankton and micro-organisms can normally be appreciated during all Zeeland dives. It is not an exceptional event since the Gulf Stream is carrying continuously plankton and micro-organisms to the coast! During this program students get the chance to experience all the excitement and silence of diving at night under the supervision of a trainer. The silence at night is recreational, relaxing and you’ll calm down from your daily stress. The course covers various night diving procedures as well a navigating at night combined with pre and post dive planning. Incorporated in the course are 3 night dives, theory sessions and briefings, but it’s mainly designed as a 'hands on experience'.

Course duration: 3 evenings each one dive

Wreck Diver - Get the most from diving on wrecks in an environment extremely different from your daily routine. This course is highly recommended when you seek an educational challenge, when you want to learn about wreck diving or when you wish to explore any wreck in the world. The top wrecks like Zenobia, Thistlegorm, MS Seattle, SMS Brummer etc are so exiting that it’s better to train wreck diving before travelling there. We also have some nice wrecks of vehicles, aircrafts and vessels to be explored in Belgian lakes or at the Dutch coast. Fish also like wrecks and we often see many fish close to wrecks. Advanced wreck diving techniques are taught and safety is of great importance. Possible hazards of wreck diving are stressed prior to diving and appropriate precautions and equipment is used. After this course you can better appreciate the famous wrecks lying before the Orkney Islands, the Norwegian coast….

Course duration: 2 days comprising of 4 dives

Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Open Water diver or equivalent & aged 15+

Course cost €220

Dry suit diver Belgium diving gets cold in the winter but a dry suit keeps it fun throughout the year. It will allow you to stay warmer not only during, but also after the dive. This way you can stay in the water longer, comfortably do several dives in a day and even extend your diving season. Never get cold or wet again! The dry suit also creates an air space around your body giving you another means with which to control your buoyancy. This new experience to manage your buoyancy simultaneously with both BCD and dry suit is the key challenge of the course. Properly controlled deflating of the dry suit is on one hand essential for slow and safe ascents. Time and patience are needed because the air leaves the dry suit much slower than the BCD. Regular and proper inflating of your dry suit is on the other hand essential to avoid squeeze effects. Beginners tend to prefer BCD inflation but advanced dry suit divers control their buoyancy only with their dry suit. A special technique will be trained to get rid of too much air that could unpleasantly accumulate in the boots. This course allows you to practise and perfect the techniques involved in dry suit diving with the help and guidance of an experienced trainer. The course is run in the sheltered waters of the Dutch coast from October to April. Many of the best dive sites in the EU are coldwater - so the dry suit course comes highly recommended to broaden your diving horizons. We recommend dry suit diving if the water temperatures go below 12°C and air is not above 23°C. Well, also for longer dives you may need better insulation, but you should not sweat too much on your way to or from the water.

Course duration: 1 day comprising of 2 open water dives

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water diver or equivalent

Course cost €180

Underwater Naturalist - If you enjoy the underwater environment and you're interested in aquatic life then the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course is for you. This course is an introduction to the underwater aquatic environment and will help develop safe and responsible aquatic life interaction techniques. Especially at the Dutch Zeeland coast it’s fascinating to observe and to identify the incredibly high number of different aquatic species present as a consequence of the Gulf Stream. The warming effects of this current are quite strong and can be felt on land and underwater. The current causes upwelling effects which raise nutrients from the seabed carrying them into shallow water. These nutrients cause an increase in plankton production which forms the basis of the marine food chain. As a result one can observe rich and diverse marine flora and fauna especially during Zeeland dives. Sometimes you see already the ground covered with crayfish, prawns, starfish…when you prepare your mask before the dive. You will get an overview of the major groupings and you’ll learn about planning, organisation and potential problems of naturalist dives.

Course duration: 1 day comprising of 2 dives

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water diver or equivalent

Course cost €160

Enriched air / NITROX Diver – Diving is to relax, to have time to yourself and to do something for your health. The benefits of diving with NITROX are unquestionable! NITROX contains less nitrogen and consequently the diver will absorb less nitrogen during his dive. Conclusion: You dive safer, healthier and longer. You will notice this especially after repetitive dives and you may want to reduce your tiredness after long dives by using NITROX. The different blends of NITROX available on the market reduce the exposure to nitrogen in different amounts and you have to see which blend you need for your dive. This reinforces the professional character of diving with NITROX. Before the course you prepare yourself at home through studying the PADI NITROX Manual and special planners and watching the PADI NITROX DVD. During the course you will learn how to plan and conduct NITROX dives, analyse the oxygen content of your tank, and determine equivalent air depths, exact oxygen partial pressures and maximum depths. Then, you’ll be prepared for the exam that needs to be passed before you get the Specialty certification allowing you to dive with NITROX worldwide. Open water dives with NITROX are optional and not required for the certificate.

Course duration: 1-2 days (includes 2 optional dives)

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water diver or equivalent

Course cost:   €220 (including PADI cert and 2 dives)

€180 (including PADI cert but no dives)

Search & Recovery - Have you ever dropped something in the water? Are you looking for lost treasure? The Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course will teach you effective ways to find objects underwater and bring them to the surface. It is an intensive compass training going further than the Navigation Specialty and you will learn about your perception of distances and directions. You feel that you’ve done it when you’ve recovered the object that your instructor has hidden.

Course duration: 2 days comprising of 4 dives

Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Open Water diver or equivalent

Course cost €220

Drift diver - The Drift Diver Specialty Course introduces you to the coolest magic carpet ride you’ll ever experience. This course shows you how to enjoy rivers and ocean currents by “going with the flow,” staying with your dive partner, communicating with the dive boat and knowing where you are the whole time. We have excellent dive locations in Zeeland where you train drift diving with the tides. Twice a day the sea ascends and descends. The alignment of moon, sun and earth significantly influence the tides and drifts. Big tides and drifts are with the 3 celestial bodies aligned, with new moon and with full moon. Weak tides and drifts are with the 3 celestial bodies rectangular and with quarter moons. Low and high tides bring very different conditions. All this you have to respect when you want to make your drift dive successful and safe. Also the timing needs a lot of calculation because a few minutes can make very different currents.

While ‘flying’ without any fin kicks you can more intensively observe the variety of Zeeland’s underwater species.

Course duration: 2 dives on 1 or 2 days (depending on tides)

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water diver or equivalent

Course cost €170

Underwater Photography Specialty - If you ever wanted to show your friends what diving was like, how close you are to nature or the amazing things you see under water this course is the answer you’ve been looking for. This intensive two day training program covers various theory and practice aspects and teaches participants some of the finer details of taking great pictures. Modern digital cameras attract to take many pictures but it’s better to take fewer pictures of high quality. You will learn about good positioning, good lighting, …Finally, you end up with numerous underwater photos to show your family and friends. Look at the photos taken at our favourite dive locations.
