"Balloons Rest In Peace" started to collect old balloons no longer in active service and other balloon items in 1998.
The purpose of this collection is to preserve these balloons.

Why should we do that?
Many used balloons are put away for a long time (sometimes too long) and some are even destroyed by their owner...
Each balloon has its own history and its own stories (and feelings?). It would be a pity if they were destroyed and lost for ever.

For balloon-enthusiasts (and there are many of them!) this collection offers a unique chance to see very old and very special balloons. "Balloons Rest In Peace" regularly inflates its balloons and sometimes we display them on suitable occasions in Belgium.
