  • The Z3  was the first BMW to be manufactured outside Germany 

  • September 20 - 1995 : The first Z3 roadster comes off the line During the seven years the Z3 and M Roadsters were in production, 298.735 were handcrafted and distributed to more than 120 countries. The Z3s were built exclusively at the Upstate South Carolina factory for worldwide distribution.

  •  The The last BMW E36/7 : Spartanburg - The last Z3 roadster was produced today at BMW Manufacturing Corp.The 6-cylinder engine Sepia Metallic roadster with Arizona Sun leather interior rolled off the production line at 12:34 p.m. June 28, 2002. The roadster will remain at the plant as a display in the Zentrum museum and visitors center.Production of the next generation roadster will begin in the fall.
