Siemens manufactured pair of E288CC tubes labelled PHILIPS SQ with unique glas etch code from the Siemens&Halske factory in West Germany.
E288CC can be used in some circuits that use 6922, 6DJ8, E88CC or E188CC and give superior sonic results.
Not every circuit designed for 6922 is suitable for E288CC. The E288CC requires larger heater current, check with the manufacturer of your equipment if this is a safe substitution. One section of the E288CC is equivalent to two sections of the 6922, anode resistance is therefore 1/2 of the 6922. E288CC is rated for 10.000 hrs of service.
