1. You played in Obscurum
before, but now you have your own one-man project Urghar Moork.
How was Urghar Moork born?
Hail and greetings, commander of the Fart-Fleet!!! Yes, well
in fact, the entity 'Urghar Moork' was not born you see, I hate
this particular process because it brings forth new life on
earth!! 'Urghar Moork' carefully showed itself after a long
spectral journey in my mind a couple of weeks before the split of
Obscurum manifested.
Obscurum was dying slowly in those days, which is basically a
good thing, and when at last the degeneration was complete, the
day after Lugfest II - the remaining members went their own ways.
Lord Chaos cultivated from the fungus in his cellar /
regearsalroom the sick Thorax Serpenti syndrome...which turned
out to be lethal, you only have to take one good look at Dooie
Jef (Desecrator) to understand what I mean. I recently rejoined
them and things are goin great!
Before this reunion, I had a number of unused riffs and some
songs were because of that finished for my own project. I really
kick on having full-control over something and in Urgahr Moork
I'm responsable for everything. In Thorax Serpenti however, this
thing is oppressed because of the fungus...
2. What does 'Urghar Moork'
mean and why did you pick that name? It doesn't seem Tolkienish
to me...
First of all, I wanted an original name...not like those
stupid 'Darkside', 'Dark Side', Da Rkside' or even a Tolkienish
name. I myself have to be creative (till my end) otherwise
destruction immediately breaks out! So I started to think (with
the maximum of braincells available) and whilst enjoying a
chapter of the majestic comic-series 'Kronieken van de Zwarte
Maan', this blasphemous name was put together. For me Urghar
Moork embodies the life in the era I would like to live in (the
comic only shows a glimp of where my Sehnsucht goes out to...
Urghar is the demo who will fly me to Moork, where I shall reign
in orgy with my baroness, Ana‰l de Moork!!!
3. You make 'Vlaemschen
Zwarte Garde Metal', what do you mean with 'Zwarte Garde'? Does
it refer to the elite Schutzstaffel-troops or what?
As you know, Black Metal is a thing for the elite, not for
masses, there we have opium for!! When shall these
untermensch-groups like 'Cradle of their Arses' and (a) 'Dummi
(Quick) Burger (please)' be gassed away?! (I'll immediately take
care of it, it's just a word...haha!!! -hf) And with them, all
these trends and poseurs and yes...this neo-Black-Metal-movement
(atmospheric melodic dark Black / Death or something). Especially
this last thing. The only music worth to be called B.M. is raw,
harsh, Satanic and misanthropic! (and maybe with some farts for
you...h‚h‚). Haha, it almost happened with those
hippies of Dimmu Boring I heard. Didn't they return from a
fashion-show when their limo crashed or something? Unfortunately
they survived, maybe becuase of their wedding with the Nuclear
jews who gave them presents for that, like airbags and stuff,
probabely... FUCK THE COMMERCE DAMMIT!!!
Anyway to continue, Vlaemsche because i'm ne Vlaeminck, Zwarte
Garde because theyr are -and I am as you noticed - in every
context the elite! Your interpretation and link to the SS is
possible, but not necessary. The Zwarte Garde consists of strong
individuals, equal in rank, no leaders (!), who are only longing
for one thing: Restore the Ancient Kingdom!! Therefor Urghar
Moork will most likely provide some musick during the upcoming
genocide, wich is notwending methinks...
4. What means 'Vlaanderen'
to you, and is there a great Flemish aspect in your music? Like
what...
Vlaenderen is in my veins! It's hard to put under words,
maybe these can: BLOOD & SOIL. Sometimes I find myself
wandering through ages and centuries to taste a bit of my ancient
blood (ancestors) and culture. This is ofcourse reflected in my
music because I am what I am. I'm no pretender who is in school
or where the fuck else somebody back normal...fuck the plebs!!!
My lyrics are in Flemish because it's the only way I'm able to
express myself properly. It has so many beautiful words and
expressions... Why write in English, it leaves only borders,
doesn't it?
5. I don't know you that
well, but you seem like a very misanthropic guy to me...am I
correct? Do you feel a strong hate towards the global human race?
Haa, misanthropy, I'm in you! You're indeed correct! I truely
hate this life and I know that I'll be given a sign that heralds
my wanted departure from this world... I'm looking forward to
this day. After that, I'll experience my ultimate Sehnsucht in
total DEATH...haa! A strong hate towards mankind? Well, 1/7 is
muslim, all christians, jews, etc... I think so yes. But also
when the factor religion is abscent, I can hardly stand people
around me, humans make me feel a bit uncomfortable and yes,
disgusted of the amount of ignorance and spiritual emptiness
mostly shown! For me, nature gives more than a human...
6. How did you get into
(Black) Metal and what are bands that surely have influenced you
and Urghar Moork?
One day, a relatif let me listen to some stuff, Deicide I
think it was, and I knew from the first notes this was my musick.
Old 'Metalopolis' on the radio kept me awake for many late hours
and it was then that I made compilation tapes with only the most
harsh and brutal musick on...
I skipped the 'roots' like everybody is calling it these days,
because I thought it sounded too whimpy for me! All that
Metallica (for example)-shit etc. My fave bands are for example:
Darkthrone (fr immer!!!), the true Mayhem (the old one, now
this copycat of Marylin Manson on vocals, it's totally raped!),
old Ancient Rites, old Enthroned (not the MCD, but I'm curious
about the new CD), the boersk Lugubrum (I'm getting a slight
impression of a hype, I hope they can weed it out!), Ved Buens
Ende and a few others... I think Lugubrum and maybe Burzum
influenced me a lot (the primitivity), also Tristitia is worth to
mention...
7. Are you in good contact
with Belgian underground bands, or from abroad? What do you think
are very promising bands?
In the Belgian, and merely the Flemish underground, I keep
contact with Grimgaert (Vlaenderen heerscht!) of 'Tswaert der
Duusternesse' -zine, also Necropoulle of Majesty ofFools I'm
writing with (watch out for the compilation tape!). Further on,
I'm in close contact with the guys from Keltgar, Self-Inflicted
and thorax Serpenti... This last one will come to destroy your
towns like a behemoth thundering over your splashed body!!! band
from abroad are: Botulistum (De Lage Lande, now this is Black
Metal dammit! Heil heer Botmuijl!!!) and some more but not
much... basically, I don't care what happens around!
Promising bands are Botulistum, maybe Fluisterwoud (Hail!) and
Morcrof from Brazil. Last but not least Thorax Serpenti...
desecrator has really an own style of writing riffs and I like
that a lot!
8. In the past D.C. has
never been pro-Obscurum? What did you feel when D.C. insulted the
whole Obscurum -band just because of the trendy singer
Mephi-Stoofvlees? I heard somewhere you even talked about the
boycotting of Obscurum by several persons / ...?
About this first thing: past my caring and I don't want to bore
your readers with this personal thing, but I think and consider
shutting down amps during one of our gigs as a thing for
eight-year-olds, not?
Anyway, about the boycot by several persons: WE EVEN GOT MORE
REACTIONS FROM FUCKIN' MALAYSIA!!! In fact svereal inties,
although we were present on the Lugburz-site...now can you
explain that?!
10. What can we expect from
Urghar Moork in the future? Do you also help out other bands?
I'm working on some new material which'll be probabely
recorded in Midsummer. I'll use my old guitar to get a very bad
and harsh sound! And I hope we can do the production in a new
record-time: less than 5 minutes! (no joke!!!) The music will
contain better riffing and'll sound much more misanthropically.
Nihilsm will drop bu whilst hearing the primitivity!!
Further on I play in Thorax Serpenti, but also in Urn of Might.
This last band is necessary to improve my skills and level of
creativity, thus everything is back in balance. Probabely a demo
in Midsummer, a very buzy time for me, so lots of sweat which
will increase the beerconsumption...haha!
11. That was the
interview...do you have some words left to say?
Yes, I want to than you, Lord HellFart for the respect, I
hope we'll once battle side by side slashing Muslim-scum, etc...!

errupt when you're near!! (Please provoke me, otherwise it won't
work!). Vlaemsche Zwarte Garde Metal ist notwendig!!! Support it
when the next Urghar moork-demo is released! Support the true
Underground! Visit the max of gigs (not difficult, it demands not
so much of an effort like those hardcore-bastards, who'll
hopefully die because of it...hahaha...) No fun, no mosh, no
core, no trends! Contacts are encouraged! Gesundheit and another
pack of Palm waiting for me...
